Kingston Communications alternative

Hull to get an alternative to Kingston Communications.

Hull Just a satirical poke

Ask anyone in Hull what they would change about Hull and I bet my bottom 10p that 50% of them would say they would change, or at least have the choice to change their internet service provider.
Unlike everyone else in the country, the residents of Kingston upon Hull do not have a choice who provides them with their Broadband internet.
Kingston Communications have held the monopoly when it comes to providing Internet access. It looks that may be all about to change thanks to new digital network being established in the city. This may come as a suprise to the residents of Hull as they had all but given up hope of having an alternative internet provider. So it will come as even more of a suprise that Hull based company MS3 Communications have already got the ball rolling and have commissioned engineers to start laying a new network of fibre optic's. When laid they will reach 12,000 homes in Hull when it goes live on June 1.

Would this help your business?

We would love to hear your comments (no need to register).

This will never happen. I love your optimism but this story is dead in the water

Just read this on Hull daily rag, "The plan requires the approval of the main board of KC's parent company, the KCom Group. It's thought KC may make an announcement this summer."
DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH THEN!!!!!!!!

12.000 homes What area are they going to be in.
TBH I dont know if I would switch. My internet here in Hessle is the fastest I have had anywhere in the country. Agree with roz though the price for all our comm's utility's is a joke and daylight robbery!!!

At last. Lest hope this brings in some reasonable prices. As it stands we in Hull have separate bills for our Phone. Another for Broadband and another separate bill for Sky. We knew it would take another company to listen to the people of Hull as KC did not understand the concept of listening to its customers.
